n8n and Make templates for Romanian company data

1. Verify CUIs into a Google Sheet

Reads a list of CUIs from a sheet and writes back name, VAT ID, VAT status, active status, e-Factura registration and the check time. Run it by hand or daily at 07:00.

Credits: 1 credit per CUI checked (company lookup). Errors, invalid CUIs and not-found are not billed. Needs: Google Sheets. Tab Companies, row 1: cui, name, vat_id, vat_registered, active, e_factura, checked_at, check_status.

2. Court case monitor with Slack alerts

Checks a watchlist of CUIs every day and posts to Slack when the number of total, active or insolvency court cases changes. The first run only stores the counts; cases from the last 3 years.

Credits: 15 credits per company per run (court cases by CUI). A daily run on 10 companies uses about 4,500 credits a month, so start with a short watchlist. Errors, invalid CUIs and not-found are not billed. Needs: Google Sheets and Slack. Tab Watchlist, row 1: cui, company, total_cases, active_cases, insolvency_cases, checked_at, check_status.

3. CRM lead enrichment webhook

Your CRM or form sends {{"cui":"RO12345678","leadId":"123"}} to a webhook and gets back the company name, VAT ID, registration number, CAEN code, status and fiscal address. If cui is missing, it answers HTTP 400 missing_cui without calling the API.

Credits: 1 credit per lead with a CUI. Requests without a CUI use no credits. Errors, invalid CUIs and not-found are not billed. Needs: Nothing else. Add your CRM step after the lookup.

Setup

n8n

1. Workflows → ⋯ → Import from File.
2. Credentials → New → Header Auth. Name: x-api-key. Value: your HowToRomania key. Select it in each node named HowToRomania: ….
3. Connect Google Sheets or Slack as usual, then replace REPLACE_WITH_YOUR_SPREADSHEET_ID and the Slack channel.

Make

1. Scenarios → Create a new scenario → ⋯ → Import Blueprint → choose the file.
2. In the HTTP module: Credentials → Add → API Key. Key: your HowToRomania key. API Key placement: In the header. Parameter name: x-api-key. Add it once and reuse it in every module.
3. Pick your Google Sheets or Slack connection in each module (connections are not part of a blueprint), then set the spreadsheet and channel.

The files contain no API key. Example result for the lookup (example data): { "name": "FIRMA SRL", "vatId": "RO12345678", "active": true, "vatRegistered": true }.

What was tested

The n8n workflows were tested end to end on a self-hosted n8n instance. The Make blueprints import without errors; we did not run them end to end, because each one needs your own key in Make Credentials and your own Google Sheets or Slack connection.
